A few things I've learned since becoming a mother

Just thought I'd share a few words of wisdom (?).....

Velcro bibs are a great idea -- that is until a) you try to take them off a sleeping baby (NOISY!!!) and b) until you put them in the washer/dryer...... they tend to stick to and snag everything else in the load... those nice knit blankets in particular.

Baby food (pureed fruits and/or vegetables) stains like crazy. On the bright side, I've saved more than one cute outfit with the Clorox Bleach Pen! (I'd like to thank Cape Buffalo for that tip)

Baby wipes..... are great at taking stains out of our clothes -- they even help rub out deodorant and toothpaste!

If you think the food stains are tough, wait until he's old enough to do arts n crafts at daycare : )

Diaper wipes are also great for wiping little munchkin fingerprints off of doorframes. For future reference.

OxyClean makes this fantastic product, but I can't remember the name. Oxy Baby, or something. Anyway, you add a couple scoopfulls to a sinkful of water, throw the stained clothes in, and after a time the stains are gone! No scrubbing. This was a lifesaver when Abby had a nasty poop while she was sitting in her stroller. I would rather buy a new stroller than try to scrub the poop out, but the OxyBaby stuff got it right out.
