Picture Day!

Well, yesterday was picture day for the Dubyas..... we had the 'lil guy's 6-mos/holiday photos done.... photo places are an amazing racket. They take tons of gorgeous pictures of your kids and then coerce you into buying way too many.... far more than you'll ever, ever need. The Big Dubya and I (in fairness, mostly I) fell into the trap for his 3-mos pictures.... so I swore not to get bamboozled again. We were going to be strong.... we were going to buy the bare minimum and no more... we can always go back for more if we find we need them. It was a good solid plan!

We got there, and I've never seen such a collection of unfortunate looking children. Of course I am a tiny bit biased, but.... we were blessed with a gorgeous child..... not everyone is so lucky. (Yes, I know... hell.... table for one). So when Beth, the photographer, sat us down to go through our proofs...... the cute factor was dialed up to 11. I mean not only were we surrounded by tons of not-so-cute kids.....and their really awkward looking parents, but our little guy is quite photogenic.... (unless you want him dressed in a santa suit, sitting in a box in front of our Christmas tree so you can take a God-damn photo for the WalMart generated Christmas Card!!!) So, yes folks.... you guessed it.... we over-bought and over-spent again.... AND, we joined their "club" so, we are going to be over-buying and over-spending at this particular place for the rest of the year.
